Two big wins in the first round
The Phillipsburg Cowboys youth football 4th and 5th grade teams traveled to Hays this past Saturday to play in the first round of the WKFL Championship and came back home with two big wins. The 4th and 5th grade Phillipsburg Cowboys are headed to Hays to compete in the WKFL Championship Tournament. The Phillipsburg Cowboys 4th grade team hosted the 4th grade Oberlin team this past Saturday at Panther Stadium. Two more wins for the Cowboys
The Phillipsburg Cowboys traveled to Norton this past Saturday on a perfect morning for football to take on the Jr. Jays. The 4th grade team was ready to earn a win after the 1 point loss to the Hays Outlaws last week, and that is what they came away with, with a 36 – 0 win over a good Norton team. The 4th grade had a good week of practice and the players were well prepared. 5th Grade wins....4th Grade comes up short
The Phillipsburg Cowboys traveled to Hays for a 4th grade game and to Ellis for a 5th grade game this past Saturday. The 4th grade team played the Hays Outlaws and came up short of a victory by 1 point, the final score was 19 – 18 with the Cowboys finishing a drive at the end of the game near the Outlaws 20 yard line. Two wins for the Cowboys
The Phillipsburg Cowboys youth football team played host to the Goodland Jr. Cowboys on Saturday September 18th at Panther Stadium. Despite the cold and wet conditions a good crowd turned out to support the Phillipsburg teams defending our home field. The 4th grade Cowboys played their first game together as a team and posted a score of 33 – 7, allowing the visiting Goodland team to score only once late in the game. Heading into Week 2
The 5th grade Phillipsburg Cowboys traveled to Larned on Saturday and brought a victory home with them. The Cowboys started off slow against the Indians, letting them score twice in the first quarter on big plays, but after the start of the second quarter the Cowboys took control and shut the Indian offense down and got our offense going.
